Even with all its mediocrities, Winstead and the rest of the cast understand this, and that in turn makes each of the performances a little more believable. The story beats are cliché, and the script is severely lacking creativity and this doesn’t really change, throughout, rather the intensity of the action increases. Up to this point, which is very early on, everything has been fairly familiar on a technical level. She has 24 hours to finish the job before she dies. Not too long after, she mysteriously gets radiation poisoning while on a job to kill her previous target’s boss, Kijima. From that moment onwards, Kate struggles with something that used to be easy for her. Something about the hit doesn’t feel right when she’s forced to kill her target in front of their teenage daughter.

This time, her target is a high-ranking Japanese crime boss.
